Beauty Tips
To create a fresh-smelling
skin treat, pull off the petals from about four roses, steep in hot
water for 10 minutes, and pour the strained liquid into a spray bottle.
Here’s a shortcut
to perfectly
textured tresses: Combine two cups of warm water with two
tablespoons of sea salt in a spray bottle, then shake it up so the salt
dissolves. Mist all over damp locks for
a tousled effect. Don’t scrunch—the key to frizz-free results is not to touch
your hair at all while it dries,
Exfoliate skin
Chop up a slice
papaya and combine with a quartercup of plain yogurt. Apply to your face, then
rinse off after 20 minutes. The papaya enzymes and lactic acid from the yogurt
will lightly exfoliate your skin.
Exfoliate skin
Brew a pot of
coffee, then use the leftover warm grounds in the shower as an exfoliator.
They’ll slough your skin, making it smooth, plus caffeine has a temporary, mild
firming effect.
Foot spa
soak your feet in
a hot water with calamansi juice for 15 minutes...then use papaya soap all over
your feet...scrub the soles with loofa...rinse with warm water...massage with
petroleum jelly all over both feet...wear a cotton pair of socks and remove it
in the morning.
Facial mask
mash up a very
ripe banana. Add just enough honey to make a soft pulp. Apply over the face.
Leave on for 10-15 min. Rinse.
Face
Mask
Using mashed avocado in
your home made face mask REALLY WORKS! Don't forget to steam your face first.
Leave on for at least 20 minutes. Rinse off with cold water and enjoy your
instant results. Brings great color to your face and helps with breakouts.
For dark circles or eye bags you can place slightly warm tea
bags over your eyes, leave on for 10-15 minutes. OR Slice one small piece off
of a potato, and cut the slice in half. Put each slice under your eyes and
leave them under your eyes for 20 minutes.
Before washing face or
doing facials, open your pores for a deeper cleansing and better absorption of
vitamins. Simply hold a warm wash cloth over face for a few minutes.
It is just as important
to close your pores afterward. End your treatment by rinsing with cold, cold
water. This will keep unwanted stuff out by shrinking your pores. Smaller pores
means less blackheads!
For dry flaky lips: try scrubbing with a warm wash cloth. Afterwards apply balm. For long
lasting lipstick, this trick is guaranteed to work. Lightly apply foundation
with a sponge to lips. Line and color with lip liner. Then top with
moisturizing lipstick or balm. Depending on top coat, it won't rub off on him.
This trick also creates picture perfect lips
For shinier, stronger hair: rinse out conditioner with as cold of
water as you can stand. This will close your hair shafts and helps prevent your
hair from splitting.
